My career has followed a consistent theme: helping people adopt systems that actually work in real life, not just on paper.

From Technology Sales to Real-World Operations

I began my professional career with over 17 years in sales and marketing, starting in the mid-1990s selling Xerox copiers, printers, fax machines, and eventually all-in-one multifunction devices. This was during the major transition from analog equipment to digital, network-connected office technology.

My role wasn’t just selling hardware—it was helping businesses understand how new systems could streamline workflows, improve communication, and operate more efficiently day-to-day. That foundation taught me an important lesson early on:

Technology only matters if it makes work easier.

Public Service Changed How I View Systems

I later changed careers and joined the fire service, where I currently serve as a 15 year career Firefighter/EMT Engineer.

In emergency services, response time, clarity, and reliability aren’t optional. Systems must work when things are busy, stressful, and unpredictable. Communication has to be clear. Processes must be simple. There’s no room for overcomplication.

That mindset directly shapes how I design automation today.

Training, Trust, and Simplicity

Alongside my fire service career, I operate a consulting business providing part-time contract work for ZOLL LifeVest, a medical device company specializing in wearable external defibrillators.

For over 12 years, I’ve trained patients on how to properly use life-saving technology and served as a ZOLL LifeVest company new-hire trainer traveling the country and also using Zoom technology, helping onboard and educate new staff. That experience reinforced another core belief:

Systems should be easy to understand, easy to trust, and easy to use.

If someone feels overwhelmed or unsure, the system has already failed.

Why I Built Better Solutions AI and How This Translates to Your Business

As I look toward retirement from the fire service in the next 3–5 years, I wanted to build something scalable, meaningful, and independent—without working for another company.

That search led me into AI automation and business systems, specifically tools like GoHighLevel. What I quickly noticed was a gap:
